The Society of Wood Engravers – The 71st Annual Exhibition.
The next annual exhibition opens at the Bankside Gallery in London on 23 September 2008. It will tour to Newcastle and Bristol. Copies of the submission forms will be available from the General Secretary from May. The submission date is 5 July. Prints can be wood engravings or other forms of relief prints. All prints are subject to selection.

Wood Engraving Courses at Northern Print.

Horsley Printmakers – Wood Engraving Weekend.
Horsley Printmakers is an independent working studio in the Tyne Valley, a close distance from Cherryburn, the Thomas Bewick birthplace. I will be teaching a two day wood engraving workshop there on September 20 – 21st 2008 from 10am – 4pm. The setting is in the beautiful Tyne Valley and is a great opportunity to learn wood engraving in a location where Bewick grew up and formed his vision. For full details of this course contact:
